This year I am planning to do something fun that will allow me to serve clients in the Oklahoma City area by helping you update and spark joy in one room in your home, but maybe on a small budget.

Many of you probably have a good foundation for a room, but for some reason, it lacks the pizazz or cohesion you’re wanting for a well styled space. You may have the main furniture of a room such as a bed and dresser or a sofa and media console, but it’s the finishing touches like wall art, pillows, vases, rugs, etc. that may be lacking or maybe you’re “over” the old accessories and you want something new and fresh. No matter what your story is, I want to help you.

Shopping Trip for Home Decor

This year I am putting together the Let’s Decorate Shopping Trips where either a group or an individual can go shopping with me for a few hours on one day and I will help you find home accents to update one room in your home. We’ll shop at some of my favorite home stores and find as much as we can in one day so that you can nearly finish or complete your one special room.

The way this works is that you sign up for one of my shopping trip dates. If it’s for a group session, I’m looking for 2 to 4 people to serve at one time, and obviously, an individual session, will be for one person. The basic idea is that you’ll send me pictures of your space and measure the room and various furniture and/or built-ins then we’ll meet for coffee in the morning of our shopping trip to go over your design plan then go shopping. We’ll go to places like HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, Kirklands, Tuesday Morning, Hobby Lobby, Pier1, and Ross in Norman, OK and At Home in Moore, OK.

During the shopping trip, you can ask me any questions and I’ll help you find what could work great in your space. At the end of the day, depending on which session you booked, you’ll either go back to your home with the confidence and knowledge to install your decor on your own or if you’re signed up for the individual session, I’ll come install with you on the same day or another day depending on our time.

Let's Decorate Shopping Trip Sherree Murray and Rachel Nichols

So how much does the shopping trip cost and how much should I budget for? The Shopping trips start at $250, and you can ultimately define your own budget. However, I typically recommend that you plan on a budget of $250 or more for purchases (does not include the design fee) just so you can buy much as you can at one time. If you need help deciding on how much to budget, I can visit with you about the accents you may need and help you determine a good budget.

If you live in the Oklahoma City area or can meet to shop in Norman, I hope you’ll consider joining me on a shopping trip. I’ve covered several Frequently Asked Questions on my shopping trip page so definitely read through them before you sign up. If a shopping trip becomes full, I’ll talk to you about scheduling for the next trip.

So are you ready to update and style a room in your home?
