I’m offering (limited) one-day shopping excursions where I shop with you at several stores and guide you in selecting decorative accents to makeover one room in your home.

Group Shopping Trip – ONE Day excursion

Want to shop and meet new people? Need confirmation in selecting the right items for your room makeover?

The group excursion is perfect for someone who would love to get help from a designer in selecting home accents for one-room in your home but execute the installation on your own. The group shopping trip is the most affordable service offered–giving you the chance to pick my brain, get help in finding items that may work in your space, and learn how to style items in your room. It is a one-day shopping experience for home accents only (might include accent furniture, but no furniture like couches, dining tables, bed sets, etc. unless you get lucky at HomeGoods).

Here’s how it works:

  1. Sign up to attend an upcoming Let’s Decorate Shopping Trip*.
  2. I’ll contact you to discuss your room makeover and payment. A 50% deposit is due to reserve your spot.
  3.  Send me pics of your room from various angles and measure the room and furnishings.
  4. Meet at a coffee shop the morning of shopping trip to meet all shoppers and discuss your projects with the group. I’ll also provide you with some design ideas and possible sketches for a visual of the space.
  5. Go shop! We’ll shop at several affordable stores such as HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, Kirklands, Tuesday Morning, Hobby Lobby, etc. in the Norman area where I’ll assist you with selecting accent furnishings and teach you how to start with one item and build from it. I’ll also show you how to display or style items so that you can do it on your own.
  6.  Wrap up the day and take home your newly purchased items and enjoy installing everything in your room.

*If the trip is full, you’ll be placed on the waiting list and will be notified when the next shopping trip is available.

Individual Personal Shopping Trip – One-Day Excursion

The Individual Personal Shopping Trip is designed to offer you a more personalized shopping experience where I am dedicated to assisting only you with a one-room makeover project. This experience is a little more in-depth than the group shopping experience in that you’ll get my full attention and assistance with installing your new decor and arrange any furniture to makeover you room. This one-day shopping trip may include shopping for home accents and/or furniture, whatever we have time for.

Here’s how it works:

  1. I’ll meet in your home to evaluate your needs for a one-room makeover (up to 1  1/2 hour). We’ll take measurements and photos of your space then schedule a shopping trip together.
  2. On your shopping day, we’ll meet to go over our plans for the day and discuss your makeover. I’ll bring a sketch drawing of your room and some inspirational photos to help give you a visual of what we are looking to achieve.
  3. Go shop! We’ll shop at several stores where I will be personally assisting you with selecting accents and/or furniture.
  4. We’ll either come back to your home the same day or on another day to install your newly purchased furnishings. This may include rearranging furniture to help makeover your room. (up to 2 hours)

Pre-Shopping: Up to 1 1/2 hours

When do you host a Let’s Decorate Shopping Trip?
For group shopping trips, I host them at least once every four to six weeks, depending on demand, typically on a Saturday and/or a Wednesday or Thursday.  For individual shopping trips, schedule according to availability.

At which stores do we shop?
We typically shop in Norman, OK where there is a cluster of affordable decor stores within short distances from each other such as HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, Kirkland’s, Target, Tuesday Morning, Hobby Lobby, Pier 1, and Ross. May also drive to Moore for At Home. If you’ve chosen the Personal Shopping Trip, it may include shopping at local furniture stores depending on your design plan.

Maybe. I cannot guarantee we’ll find everything you need in one day, but we’ll certainly try.

I need new furniture. Will we be able to shop for a bed, sofa, or dining table?
The Group Shopping Trip is specifically designed for you to shop for the accent items to decorate a room. We will shop at stores that mainly carry side tables, side chairs, small sofa, media cabinet, small bookcase, etc. You might get lucky with a dresser or a headboard, if HomeGoods has one at the time.

The Personal Shopping Trip may include shopping for home accents and/or furniture such as bedroom, living room, dining room, office, or other room at local furniture stores.

How much should I budget?
Your budget will greatly depend on the amount and size of furnishings and accessories you need to style your room. I can help consult with you on this, but I cannot make any guarantees on the amount of funds you will need available for your shopping trip. 

If I need additional help with shopping and/or installing after the experience, what do you charge? 
$100 per hour

What if I get home and don’t love what I bought or find that it’s defective?
You can return the item(s) according to the retailer’s return policy. Remarkable Spaces is not responsible for returning item(s) or for damaged or defective items. 

How do I transport my purchases?
You are responsible for providing your own means of transportation. Remarkable Spaces is not liable for any incidences or accidents related to your means of transportation.

Do I need to bring money for meals?
Yes, please bring money if you plan to grab coffee/breakfast and/or lunch.

How do I pay for the event?
A 50% deposit is due to reserve your spot; final 50% due morning of shopping trip. Check and credit cards acceptable. Cash apps transfers include the CASH app.

Can I sign up to attend more than one Shopping Trip?
The Let’s Decorate Shopping Trip is limited to two shopping trips per shopper. If you would like additional services, the normal design fee applies.

If I signed up and paid my 50% deposit, but can’t make it on the shopping trip?
You have two options. 1.) If you cannot come and do not wish to go on a shopping trip at a different time, a refund of half your deposit will be applied. 2.) If your spot can be filled by someone else, you will be refunded the full amount. 3.) If you cannot come, but can sign up for an upcoming shopping trip, your 50% deposit will be applied to the next one.

What if there’s bad weather, will you reschedule?
If there is inclement weather, we will cancel and reschedule for another day.

What if Remarkable Spaces cancels a shopping trip?
I will contact all participants to reschedule or refund your money.
